die blaue Blume
The concept of the blue flower stems from an unfinished work by German author, Novalis, and was widely adopted by the Romantic movement in the late 18th century. The blue flower is a metaphor for desire and divine discontent, for transcendental longing, “the metaphysical striving for the infinite and unreachable,” according to the Wikipedia entry.
My life seems to be defined by this concept. I am a witch, a poet, a mystic, follower of Isis and Artemis, among others, and a seeker of rosey blue vision.
